CREATIVE STUDIO

VISIT BY APPOINTMENT

Nayánayá is a land-based culinary project by Visayan-American Chef Chrissilda.

Nayánayá represents profound joy and emotional healing through radical hospitality. It means to care for, feed, and listen intently to your guests, which gives us a sense of Nayánayáon: A sense of peace, harmony, and happiness from serving others. We gather with intention and with the seasons.

The practice is deeply rooted in sustainable food systems & indigenous food sovereignty by building strong relationships with local farmers, makers, artists, and talents.

Nayánayá features a workshop series called “ Roots of the Archipelago”, using food as a medium for storytelling which highlights traditional foods and crops of maritime South East Asia and Oceania. The workshop focuses on a facilitated conversation, guided movement and closes with a Kamayan feast.

The creative studio is located in downtown San Luis Obispo which is shared with 2 other local artists. Visits are arranged by appointments only. Please send an inquiry email through my contact page.
